Bio

Francine and Steve have been The Southern Tier Chapter of USA Dance (formerly USABDA) instructors for over ten years. They have been instructing Social Couple Dancing at the former Touch of Texas, Binghamton University, YWCA, YMCA, JCC, Lourdes Wellness Center, Broome Community College, and Winnie's Dance Ranch. Steve is the Vice President of The Southern Tier Chapter of USA Dance, and currently dances on the Southern Tier Ballroom Formation and West Coast Swing performance teams, as well as performs with his partners' with Irene Czebiniak and Cathi Heslin around the Southern Tier. Francine is The Southern Tier Chapter of USA Dance president, and has been dancing since the age of 7 in Ballet, Jazz and Lyrical Jazz, and has been a Ballroom Dance competitor in Latin and American Smooth for 20 years. She has placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in her categories, as well as winning Scholarships and Championships. She is the Artistic Director and coach of the Ballroom Dance and West Coast Swing Performance Teams.

Steve Dougherty has been on the PBS Ballroom Dance Challenge. He teaches at Dance NY 54th and 8th Ave, New York City & has a studio in Stamford, Ct. Steve is now the World's Professional American Smooth Show dance Champion with his professional partner Eulia Baranovski
